Sparkles Hill

Sparkles Hill is a senior stylist with 11 years of experience in the hair care industry.  Originally from Flint, MI, Sparkles was inspired to make women beautiful by her Mother who was considered at the time as a fashion icon. At the age of 14, Sparkles began styling hair for her family, neighborhood friends and classmates.  Realizing her potential, Sparkles obtained her Associates Degree in Business as well as her Cosmetology License in 1997.In 1998, Sparkles moved to Charlotte, NC and began her career initially as a freelance make-up artist for Bobbi Brown and Mac Cosmetics. Sparkles began training at the Paul Mitchell Academy and began to hone the craft of hair artistry. During her time at the Paul Mitchell Academy Sparkles became a national trainer and presenter at various shows, most notably the International Hair World Show. In 2001, Sparkles began styling at Modern Salon and Spa and currently maintains an A-list roster of clientele as well as serving as an educator for the company. Sparkles range of work includes advertising campaigns for Revolution, Modern Salon and Spa, Lotus Look and Tasty Cosmetics. Her work has been displayed in a variety of publications like Blu Magazine, Elevate Lifestyle Magazine, Ballantyne Magazine, Charlotte Premier Bride, and UCE Life Magazine to name a few. She has styled for and provided creative direction on countless fashion shows including Fashion Summit of NC, Charlotte NC Fashion Week, Mercedes Benz Fashion Show and Fashions Night Out.

While working for Modern Salon, Sparkles has styled hair for AIDS Benefit Shows, Dell Curry Fundraiser for Battered Children, the Charlotte Observer Make Over Story, Save the Planet Earth Movements and many other causes making a difference in the community.

Sparkles has a passion for hair styling and hair care as her diverse portfolio represents.  She plans to share her creative talents as she continues teaching, styling and traveling around the country as a celebrity stylist. Sparkles wants to continue transforming the Charlotte community and the world one strand at a time.
